It is only going to be two episodes for S4. Hahaha
Even more ridiculous than a Sherlock season, and they're pretty bad at just three eps.
Might as well wait for the second episode to air then watch them back-to-back on iPlayer.

Why is it funny it's only 2? Anyway they've put a lot of quality in to it.

Well behind on last season. That's just it, the moodiness never lasts, it only happens briefly and bizarrely in individual episodes because of lazy writing far as I can tell.

So you're not up to date?

Series 5 is very good so far

I've only heard of three of those, and have only watched one.

*whispers* It's American sh1te, no reason you should've heard of them :D

I'll take American dramas of every description over British ones every day of the week.

There's good and bad from both countries. The UK does produce some very good TV.

"War of the Worlds" Mini-Series In The Works
U.K. production company Mammoth Screen is planning a mini-series based on H.G. Wells' classic 1898 alien invasion story "War of the Worlds". Mammoth has reportedly secured funding in the U.K. and will soon actively seek out a company in the U.S. to be a co-producer.
[...]
Peter Harness, who adapted Susanna Clarke's "Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell" for TV this year and penned the recent acclaimed Zygon two-part story for "Doctor Who", will pen the script.

And, it appears, set in the times the book was written.

No it's not riduclous at all. It makes perfect sense having seen the first one. Here's the reason why:

Quote:
John Luther's latest outing spans just two episodes, with Elba arguing that a longer run wouldn't suit the series.

"It's really tough to sustain that sort of angst," he argued. "You'd have to dilute it to make it work, and honestly I think you'd get bored of 'story of the week' type drama in a show like this.

"I think the smaller bite-sizes are better and more impactful. There's no reason why we couldn't do another 6-parter, but I suspect that would be the end of me!"

Vikings Just Got Some Really Great News

I've tried watching it and the pirates one - neither felt like they had any heart to them, just people going through the motions.

Ridiculous.
It's ridiculous for Sherlock, more ridiculous for Luther.

How is it ridiculous to say 'this is how many episodes it takes to tell the story we want to tell well, so this is how many episodes we're going to do'?

Saying it's ridiculous when you haven't seen it is ridiculous.

Idris got a mention in this week's Supergirl, which is actually turning out to be the most consistently brilliant portrayal of the whole Kryptonian saga onscreen.
