There's no room in the new flat for my rig so I'm consigned to cheap Qwerty XP laptop hell.

ah ok, its just odd how you can miss a non gaming pc, well technically, dunno if you do play games or not on your computers but if youre not a gamer then it would in my perception be really strange if you do miss your pc etc

Sleep.

Had less than 3 hours last night, got up at 02:00 and have been travelling since, making it around 22 hours so far with another 16 to go. 3 flights and lots of waiting = not much fun. Should be able to get 6 hours on the last leg and at least I won't be jetlagged. And at least the IFE is up to date, have seen The Expendables - crap, and Inception - interesting, and Salt, not very tasty. Part way through Takers, which is basically Matt Dillon reversing his role from Armoured.

Oh well at least I'll be in sunny London. :D

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Gatwick is shut. Luton and Heathrow are "disrupted" :?

Fingers crossed!

Well I made it in on the scheduled time so no problems there. Didn't get any meaningful sleep on the last leg though as my seat didn't recline as far as it should, so a lolling head would wake me easily. Plus a pair of screaming infants didn't help.

Oh well I'll have to push through today and get a good night tonight. On a plus side at least my bowels are in the right time zone. ;)

In the Metro today is a nes story about a fella who beat his girlfriends 15 month old kid over a period of time including watching him shiver in an empty bath and filming it all on his mobile phone - even naming the clips with what he must have thought comedy titles.

Kid is now dead. One too many beatings.

The story has stuck in my head all morning and I want to hurt this man. A lot.

I've read this and it is one of those stories (like Baby P) where you feel death is too good for such subhuman vermin. I would use such people for spare part surgery so at least their worthless existence might be of some benefit to someone else.

I saw that too. I try to avoid reading most stories like that as it's too upsetting.

There was another one where an old man was left lying on the ground for 5 hours after collapsing and no-one stopped to help him. People walked past and drove past and ignored him. Luckily he was eventually spotted and taken to hospital and survived. His daughter was disgusted as I was too. I know we're animals but what happened to caring for your fellow man?

scary how I dont feel a thing reading that story above, hear it too often but I am disgusted all the same, just with no emotion. Is that normal?

I say hurry up with World war 3 and eradicate all human life, seems the best way to cleanse this disgusting planet
