Really, prolly Essex I've outside of the M25), or the part of London that stopped having anything to do with being Essex in 1965?

Been away on holiday for last two weeks (win!) but come back to work and my workdesk has been rearranged. The intranet is off and I don't know how long that's been the case. Spent the last 30 mins rearranging my desk to how it was before I left. Hope I can still find everything as and when I need it.

Own office. It's been like that for the entire time i've been there. The regular docs get their own rooms. Any locums have to use whatever's spare/free. The midwife has been using my room and has a tendency to move loads of stuff and then not put it back. She uses the room once a fortnight. I'd have thought out of courtesy, she would return everything back after use. It's what I did as a trainee. I had to use whichever room was free that day (and sometimes it was the treatment room instead of a proper consulting room) and I would always return everything back to how things were before I left.

The All4 app on my Fire TV is missing catchup content available online or on my iPad. What's the point in having the app if you don't provide the same content across platforms. Grrr

BBC news site. yes, this is a very sad story, but seriously, BBC, using apostrophes like this is not cool...

Wife sends me a couple of text messages today (she’s away on a school outing this week). They came through as .txt files attached to an email from O2. My iPad couldn’t open the files (Mail says that there is an attachment, but doesn’t show it so I don’t know what’s been sent). Usually, text messages from her come through as text messages to my phone.

The phone is sending them as MMS which O2 think you can't receive so it's emailing them to you instead.

So I'm deleting all the various useless emails I got over the bank holiday weekend at work (by definition everything that comes into my work email over a bank holiday weekend is junk, IMO) and Outlook throws a bit of a wobbler, then pop up a dialog box saying 'Unknown Error' [OK] Underneath the OK button it has a link that says "was this error message helpful?"

People who come into work when they are ill. Someone in my office has just left as they seem to have either food poisoning or a bug that they've managed to pick up at the weekend. I seriously hope whatever the hell it was isn't contagious.

The world is getting too dumb. I had a girlfriend once who used to work through equations when she was waiting for flights... The Bill Hicks reference is very appropriate.
