Sylvester Stallone is advertising bread. From Bolton.
I'll just leave that here and let it sink in for a while.

Have you seen the advert, Mark? I'm sure someone posted a link recently.

It's actually quite good, (in my opinion) Here's the YouTube Link

I'm sure there's some in my acre and a half of land. Diggers are there this week. I'll let them know to look out for bombs.

Swam again this morning; I don't wear goggles and usually my eyes sting for 10 minutes afterwards and then feel ok. Today though, they're still really sore even now. I'm guessing they'd just run additional chlorine through the water but has anyone experienced something similar before? And for future reference know a solution post swim?

Sure, goggles is the obvious choice, I just dont really want to have to bother with them, especially as I do a lot of 'heads up breaststroke'.

You may benefit from soothing eye drops but ultimately, if the pool has chlorine in it the only thing that'll protect your eyes are goggles as far as I know (I imagine if there was something better they'd have been using it in professional events already).

You're right, eye drops for now, goggles in future.

PS Congrats on the job Mr Vella!

There is another reason to wear goggles.

It's not just your bumhole in that pool...

And that is why I don't swim.

Following on slightly from John's new contract; I just had a one-to-one with the manager of my department and basically asked me why I wasn't raving about my previous experience and applying for promotions as I could/should get a TL job here fairly easily. Not a huge jump but a step up and a CV booster. Fingers crossed and stay tuned.

Good luck, Dave.

Dilemma time. I've been offered a start on a 12 month contract with a company 5 miles away from home, and it looks like I might also get an offer for a 6 month contract but that is closer to 20 miles away. I need to sit and think about this one.
