Who's whining? I love snow.

Because I nearly bent my car today and so did my Dad. He's quite shaken about it frankly. And because I hate my life being impeded by severe weather. It's a pain in the ass. You deal with it.

Sorry to hear about your dad being shaken up but, really, adapt and change. Unless you're equipped for the task don't drive, that's a consideration to make before getting into the position of nearly crashing your car.

You can't blame the conditions for your inability to deal with them. It's a pain? Well, that's life, sorry but I thought we all had learned that lesson when we were children. Good job you weren't brought up in Scandinavia where they still have to outdoor sports at school unless it gets below -20.

Me and the GF, on the other hand, went for a lovely walk in the snow last night at about 10 when there was another dump of snow. Absolutely beautiful.

And for all of the other snow lovers on here, meet you in the park for a snowball fight. :D

Spot on Adi, my sentiments exactly.

If you check out the satellite picture in this link, you can just about make out a tiny patch on the south coast with no snow. That's me. Boo…

That's all very well and good, and I love a snowball fight, but I'm trying to move house. Also my Dad and I run a 26 acre holiday resort. If we don't get to work, there are serious snags. If I lived somewhere less rural, it wouldn't be a problem. It's just that down here, we're [LIFTED].

You're welcome to some of ours. I'm in the bit covered with that band of cloud in the bottom right. It's snowing again, right now.

Well it has turned a little crispy up here with us but sunny Lossiemouth never retains the snow for any length of time :D Only a few miles inland though and it's a different story - 10 miles and there's 2ft of snow. Our problem is we are situated between Aberdeen and Inverness and road/rail links are often closed. Snow gates on the A9 have been shut regularly, the derailment at Carrbridge is affecting trains and the solution is to bus passengers from Inverness to Aviemore - over the Sloch summit which is one of the first roads to close

Blue sky at the moment though so it's camera out at lunchtime methinks...

Al
