The human body cannot break down plant cells very well at all, yet still needs them, mainly as bulking agents, but also to slow down the absorbtion of the sugars that all food gets converted to.

And that right there is why you must switch off updates, one way or another. They don't test them, they don't give a flying fcuk if they cripple your machine, and quite often they're about changing your behaviour/spying on that machine you bought.

I often wonder how many genuine emails from people I miss seeing because the spam filter at the ISP decides it doesn't like one of the words someone has used!!

See the ranting thread, telco incorrectly connected a new customer to our line and we have been without internet for a week - it took them 4 days, before they realised where the problem lay, because I told them, after I rang our house number and got a stranger on the line!

Got paid on Tuesday for this month, rather than the end of the month. The practice normally does this so we have spending money for Xmas. I normally use my smartphone app for online banking. Transferred money to what I thought was my Barclaycard credit card but actually turned out to be a Barclay bank account that I've not used in years. I have no way of accessing that money other than writing a cheque out for cash. I've long forgotten to passwords to online access and I've since moved house, and I don't have any debit cards for the account.

Got back from work this morning to find the Christmas tree on the floor, water, pine needles and smashed baubles everywhere and a lot of wet presents.

Burst pipe? In any case, that's a bugger. There are a limited number of things you want moist around Christmas and the tree and presents aren't normally on that particular list. Hope you get it sorted and it doesn't significantly mess things up.

If anyone has a the HD remaster of Star Trek:TNG, can you check All Good Things.... - the title of the episode appears to have an extra , after the row of full stops in the episode titie. It's just come on SyFy, but I'm not sure if that was just me or if the error was real.

No idea if it's comparable but the netflix version which I gather is remastered doesn't have a comma.
