Far too busy at work, I'm even planning next week on my days off.
I think I need more beer.

Note to anyone here involved in Facilities Managment: When you move a load of desks and re-wire the mains leads, it would be helpful, once you plug them in, to ensure that the power buttons are left in the "ON" position. Thank you. :etc:

One more PC to go, (after this one) then that's the fifth floor done... Edit to add: And this is the final PC... all working! Yay! Next stop - third floor!

Third floor... It's not difficult, is it? You're told that, due to a desk move over the weekend, not to leave anything on your desk, (aside from the monitor, keyboard, mouse and 'phone). Simples? Yes? So why is it that I came in here yesterday morning to find that ALL of the desks on the third floor were covered in papers, in-trays and gawd knows what else? I don't think they're going to be very happy when they come in tomorrow morning and find them all neatly stacked on the pedestals.

I was tempted to put the whole lot through the paper shredder and blame the Data Protection Act, but I'd probably get yelled at. Or sacked

I'm stripping avocado green polystyrene ceiling tiles off one of our ceilings. Turns out the ceiling underneath is covered with an artex-like finish.
In other related news, the only elastoplasts I can find in the house are Winnie The Pooh ones.

I am typing this using the Chrome Web Browser, which ships with the Google Chrome Operating System Beta that I have just installed. It's built on OpenSuse, but just getting to say "I downloaded and installed the Google Chrome Operating System" before anyone else I know is pretty cool. Here's the link, if anyone is interested... CLICKY LINK
