Not Alonso, for goodness sake.

I loved the way the camera cut to the McLaren garage each time Red Bull lost a car. V funny.

I was expecting good things from him, what with Korea being a wet race. It was a great time to pick up points, with DNFs from Webber and Vettel.

Comparisons with Kimi's 2007 win aside, it's fair to say Button is out of the running. It's a shame I know, but he needs to get behind Lewis and help him in Brazil; not wait to see what happens at Interlagos before trying to help out for the last race of the season.

I like Button, but he is a racing driver, and they are notoriously selfish individuals. They will hang on to the last, and put their own slim hopes before the needs of the team, or their team mate.

I think McLaren are in a better position with engines than Ferarri and Red Bull, so they should pressure them at every opportunity to see if they break something. Problem is, they haven't really been quick enough to pressure the other contenders.

I was considering the notion that Button's poor performance was down to him knowing that, effectively, he's out of the running already and therefore he was much more interested in keeping the car (and himself) in one piece than scoring a few more points that are irrelevant at the end of the day.

Yeah, it is possible, but I think it's unlikely.

Before the Korean GP result, Button was still more or less in the hunt. They way he battled through the end of last season, especially at Interlagos, tells me he isn't the fearful type, so I don't think he was coasting in yesterday's race.

He did say that he had opted to fit some parts for Korea, based on simulator performance, that were not fitted to Hamilton's car; and that that may have contributed to the poor grip he experienced.

The problem is, he also said that he won't give up until it is mathematically impossible for him to win. 5th in the standings, 42 points adrift and only 50 points still on the table. He'd have to win both races and most of his rivals would have to finish outside the points positions. That's just stupid, he should offer himself as a spoiler for the team and allow them to select whatever strategy for him that best suits Lewis's chances.

It's not that impossible and although remote, his points deficit is equivalent to a win and a second place - the same margin that Kimi Raikkonen caught up in the final two races of the 2007 season to deny Hamilton and Alonso that year's title. Food for thought.........

Well I would like to see Button or Hamilton win. Other than that Webber is my next choice.

Well, that's the Constructors Title settled.

Webber better pull his finger out for the last race, I don't think I could stand Alonso or Vettel smugging it up.
