Yeah.

Handy grabbing a nap at work but not the sort of thing that you could get away with in a lot of places.

Like the ED 209 models. Think I’d have to go for the cheaper one. Disappointed that there’s no remote controlled walking one. Oh,well.

I will believe it when I see it. The only time to take this seriously is at an Apple event.

Quote:
A 4K iPad Pro would be impressive with a likely resolution of 4096 x 3072, which is higher than 4K Ultra high-definition televisions on sale right now.
Essentially, this is double the resolution of the current iPad Air, which is 2048 x 1536 at and 264 pixels per inch.

Doubling the resolution will allow easy upgrading of apps.

Will it make any difference on such a small screen? Especially as "retina display" was supposed to be the best and anything above this is meant to be useless?

Exactly. The people who have suggested this are analysts who always think that the next thing will just be the same with bigger numbers. Generally that's the way Android device makers do things, not Apple. Apart from anything else, a 4K portable device would have a battery life of about half an hour.

Once you get above the 300 dpi on the screen it makes no difference, but it might be easier to scale up for desktop systems. Future macs will probably move more towards 4k screens, and with the OSes merging it might make sense. It is more tech willy waving than anything else.

Flippable next-gen USB connectors won't care which way you plug them in

Wouldn't know. I have so many USB cables that anything that makes them less cumbersome in the long-term will be good.

My opinion : Standards, we've heard of them. Yet another 'USB' to go with standard A, standard B, mini A, mini B, micro A, micro B, USB 3 'tall' and USB 3 'wide'. Seriously, if you need two seperate effing tables to define the various types of connector your 'standard' has, u r doin it rong. There's absolutely nothing 'universal' about this.
