I had the same thought , but you'd be amazed at how many people never get beyond MSN , or just making it Google out of lazy-mindedness

My home page is always set to Google because it's the fastest loading web page I know of, and I usually go on the Internet to search for information, then visit here after I finish the "work" stuff.

My homepage is about:blank it's the fastest page I've found yet...I have used the BBC and Google in the past, but seeing as I don't always want either it didn't seem appropriate, especially once I switched to Firefox and there was a search bar built into the browser.

Another reason for using Google is that I like their "auto suggest" search entry, which I don't believe is present on the Firefox home page, is it?

On my PC, I use Chrome and that has a page with most visited, and bookmarks etc. On my proper computer I use Safari which has the most visited sites on it. Although I do visit this site a lot, I would never consider making it my home page!

Possibly not, but the toolbar search does IIRC

Sorry to resurrect, I recalled us putting bugs and stuff into this forum... On the new skin, does anyone have to "activate" the buttons that hides the different sections of the forums? I do, and although I don't use the buttons, it looks odd. Here's a pick with one button enabled and another not enabled: As ever, I'm using the latest Camino. Also, I'll complain about JavaScript again ( ). If I click on a link it'll take me right to a new tab, if I command+click it takes me to a new tab and opens a second tab of the same thing... Oh, and while I'm at it, any news on the rest of the site? Seeing as the forum is almost a year old, will the rest of the site be opened up? Ben

Yes the buttons are a bug. Javascript is still being used as phpbb does funny things on links without it (there's no other way to get it to open in a new window that I can find) The rest of the site will open when I cactually have some content to add to it. 3 linux guides & 2 reviews of GTA4 just won't cut it.

I have the button-thing, Ben. At least I do in IE6. I'll check in Safari later, but I don't recall noticing it when at home.

Same here plus I invariably have old pages that I reopen to finish off reading.

Here's a suggestion... Would it be worth having a Mobile Phone Forum? I know you can put the iPhone in the Mac Forums, the WinMo stuff in Windows and the Android in Open Source, but do you guys think there's enough call to make a seperate forum to keep them all together? I was only thinking that because I wanted to post a picture of the HTC HD2 running Windows 3.11, (link below) but couldn't decide where to put it. Anyway, here's the link http://www.flickr.com/photos/39024169@N06/4475616817/Yes, it's a mock up that I created in MS Paint but it made me chuckle... a bit ;)

Perhaps if every skin had a "View active topics" link on every page, people would visit more forums. It's the reason I can't use the default skin - it just doesn't work with how I do things.
