How annoying it is that I can't watch video on all sorts of sites because I don't have flash on my computer, yet I can watch them on my iPhone. That means that they have an alternative that I could watch on my computer, but they don't want me too.

I guess i have forced obsolescence on my mind.

The guy who has worked at the local primary school for 32 years has just been made redundant with 4 days notice because his position is being outsourced.

Never look at it as a bad thing. As long as you have a job it could get hectic tomorrow.

Annoyed by a comment someone made in relation to an event a car club I’m involved with has made. We’ve been invited to join a carnival/street parade in the Lambeth area of London. Probably not the nicest of places to go, but someone else in the group said that it wasn’t for us because of the small number of “white faces” and that we could have trouble.

It’s the implication that there will be problems not because it’s an economically stressed area, but because of the lack of white people. There are plenty of deprived areas in this country with a majority of white people where you’d court unwanted attention as well. So I dropped a reply to this effect and decided to leave it at that. I doubt we’ll go anyway (I know I can’t - I’m away that week), but I think the reasoning to reject it is wrong.

It’s just annoyed me that that person said what he said. Before hand, I’d have never thought he’d harbour such ideas.

Lambeth still has loads of white ethnics who are just as poor as the local darker ethnics. There are very few problems between the locals.

It depends where you look. There is a joke in Sweden "Lets put it this way I live so far north the pizza shop is owned by a Swede!" Most pizza shops are run by immigrants and even as far north as a hundred km short of the arctic circle they are run by immigrants. Parts of Stockholm have so many in some suburbs that it is almost a no go area for the police. I think that was one of the areas which had three days of riots recently. Even Goteborg has areas almost entirely resided by immigrants. Parts of central Stockholm are now almost Russian they have so many Russian residents there.
