It also emphasises the laziness of the people using the English language. Glamourous camping sounds so much better One of my hates is text 'speak'. I saw something the other day saying "Those people who type u instead of you - what do you do with that extra time?" Says is all really

Text speak was from the days when you had character limits in sending SMS. These days, with the advent of imessage and whatsapp, there's no need to limit your character use.

The word "portmanteau" is a portmanteau word. You just blew up my computer.

So, before I go and buy more materials for the aiding of taking photos, I look for my portable white frame doodah. Guess which distraught cnut has moved it and isn't even the house to ask about it All i wanted to do was something simple and enjoyable on my day off, that's all. If he doesn't know where it is, he's getting a fcuking tirade of abuse followed by a thump.

Turn off Bluetooth on your phone. Problem solved. I never use Blurtooth on my phone anyway. Mark

There's a lot of reasons to have bluetooth switched on. Fitness gear uses it, headphones use it. Plus if they'r in some starbucks and they're on the wifi someone could still do it over that protocol instead. The fix is to not have airdrop set to 'anyone can send me stuff', switching off bluetooth is a clumsy half-fix at best.

I use it in the car every day going to and from work to listen to audio books and podcasts. It was a boon on the way to the UK and back, I listened to over 10 hours of a David Baldacci novel on the way over... I could do it with an Aux cable, but Bluetooth is more convenient, I don't have cable trailing all over the car, I can leave the phone in my bad. It is also useful in the fitness studio. That said, if the beacons really start to be installed everywhere, I'll be turning the BT off when I'm not in the car.

Y'see, I have an iPod that lives in the car, in the same place, and the cable is neatly tucked away and doesn't annoy me at all. If I used my phone for music or fitness, maybe, but as I don't, there's no need to have Bluetooth on it.

I use BT for connecting to the car's BT system so I can make and receive calls. I can also stream music to it or connect my phone to my Beats pill.

Music again. I don't have any music on my phone at all. I never even look at my phone when I'm driving, and despite my car stereo have a Bluetooth module in it, I never use it to hook up the phone so I can take calls. It seems that Bluetooth is mainly for those that use their phone for music.

I can't say I've been terribly impressed by the performance of music playback through the Bluetooth in my car. For some reason it's really quiet - have to turn the volume way up to get it audible. Does add a frisson of excitement though- a sudden traffic announcement could deffen you . Ford Focus and a Xperia Z3.
