No, it looks pretty good to me. There's always been some variability in how the helmet gets drawn by different artists. Some have it quite a 'fit' to the head, some have it much broader like that.

The Amazing Spiderman - New Trailer

Hmmm. Doesn't look that good - especially the costume - and the action bits look exactly the same as Raimi's version.

I find the Marvel films tiresome now. Much like the comic books, I tend to keep away from them.

Didn't watch all of it since it's far too long IMO ;) , but it's certainly a better effort in terms of tone from what I did see, even though I agree there's been far too much copying going on*... The mask reminds me of the Foot Clan masks from the Turtles movies :)

* The Raimi films were far too teenage girl-friendly IMO :(
