So what does everyone think about the signal loss problem?
I think Apple should include a "bumper" with each phone. It would seem the easiest way to keep everyone happy.

I haven't experienced any noticeable signal loss whilst using the handset. Mark

Ah, but you can operate equipment by just using the Force. I'm not sure that counts.

No, but I heard about the problems and decided to use the phone in my left hand. As above, no noticeable signal loss for me. Mark

It proves that everyone who works for Apple at Curpetino must be an alien. They never spotted the problem because their skin isn't conductive.

Apparently. Though it does seem strange that this was not detected during FCC tests. Though a clear bumper will be a good idea without the aerial problems.

I can consistently drop any network signal on mine just by holding my finger on the bottom left antenna divide.
I don't need to hold it in any particular way or cover up 80% of the metal or anything like that.
Just one finger bridging the gap across the bottom left divide causes it to drop all signal and then lose the network completely.

If it's any consolation - which it won't be, but still - I can lose a signal on my PoS Nokia just by turning around.

I saw a video of someone doing the signal loss thing with a Nokia.
Put it on a table and it has full signal. Pick it up and it has none.

It takes about 30 seconds to go fully but it happens every single time.

Are you accepting this as a 'feature' then or taking it back as faulty? Do you agree with Apple that its people holding the device wrongly? Are you happy to put your new sleek device into a case or wrap a bumper around it?
