Sounds like a $h!te place to work. I always find that whenever there's someone new, they decide to show who's the boss by making silly changes that have no importance or benefit other than making that one person feel good and everyone else feel crap.

This is a woman who wanted to install work cubicles for the FULL miserable worker effect.

The problem is that they will definitely think that they can do it. Zero hour contracts are now the norm in many sectors and how long before they start making inroads into traditional office work?

In my workplace the geniuses like to fire and then re-hire recruitment staff. You know what sorta contracts get drawn up there, so God knows how much money the recruitment company is making.

The problem is that Ulster has the highest unemployment in the UK so they think that they can bully people, especially with a Tory government scrapping workers rights like access to tribunals.

Had my diabetic check up today and all was good apart from a slight increase in weight. Then the nurse spent 10 minutes trying to convince me that because I have got good control over my glucose levels I should come off my medication. which would be nice not to have to take tablets but I'm very wary of that as I don't want to be back to how I was before I started the medication.

Happy birthday in order?

Never mind. I'll soon be out of the 40-44 age bracket when filling in forms.

Not long before you qualify for Saga holidays. Though any plans to become a Saga lout? ;)

Well it is up to her, and I can tell she likes me over him, but if it means hurting my best mate, there's no way I can do it.

Oh well, I suppose it's not the worst problem to have in this world, I'm just going to have to ignore her. And no, it wouldn't be the next big romantic chapter in my life, but it would be nice.

ION, I am well and truly 'friend-zoned' (as they say in the former colonies) by the potential interest I had on the horizon.
Ho hum.

Birthday, yes. Happy? No it was a miserable one. Still the dark chocolate Ferrero Rocher and chocolate cake help. Also got a present, which was a bit annoying.

Chin up prof, sometimes the world is just randomly stupid. No accounting for it, you just have to carry on. Dust off the jacket and etc.

What's on my mind right now is two things

1) How utterly rubbish low fat coconut milk is. Put it near any sort of heat and it immediately splits. Waste of money.
2) I've forgotten. The fact I know I've forgotten the thing but can't remember what the the thing was is really irritating me.

1) Never really noticed as I cook it in a microwave already prepared.
2) Welcome to my world! 8-)

I am currently confused as to why an internet order I made from Cotton Traders has been partially refunded. According to their system, all the items I ordered were in stock at the time.

Oh well, I'll look forward to the packet of socks, then.

Whether £80 is too much for a music box set, especially as this is the third set and I don't have the first two... yet.
