TBH a lot of cars now use foglights or headlights as DRLs, so not always the "bad boy racer". They tend to run around with sidelights and fogs on at night.

Police Now Threatening Quentin Tarantino With A Surprise Before The Hateful Eight Opens - CINEMABLEND
http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Police-N ... 92747.html

'Know what the real issue is here? A film director who couldn't buy the publicity we're giving him!'

It's going to take federal legislation before America teaches it's officers not to freak out and kill people. And that's likely decades away as you'd probably need to sort out the guns issue first.

I used my fog lights for the first time this year on Wednesday evening. The fog was that thick you could chew it.

As for the dickheads who use them in clear conditions, I just give them full beam until the get the message.

Simple rule: If the fog/mist is so light that you don't feel the need to drive slower than normal, you don't need fog lights.

pretty much agree with Spreadie with one caveat - if it's even mildly foggy and I'm the back of a queue of traffic, I switch the rear fog light on (most cars allow you to switch the rear one on separately). Even in mild fog you want to give people extra warning to slow down if possible.

Tarantino - I hope the NYPD fail. That's just plain nasty.
Fog lights - if you're not in thick fog, keep them off. If you're in a queue and it's misty (or just clear), keep your foot on the brake pedal. If I'm in last in a queue and it's on a road that's faster than 30mph, I'll keep my foot on the brake pedal and keep an eye out for more drivers behind and then tap the pedal a few times to act as a warning light.

Built the new PC last night, switched it on and... Nothing. No BIOS, no... well, anything.
Plugged a speaker into the motherboard header and tried again. Got a series of beeps which suggested a CPU fault, so I removed and reseated the CPU.
Still nothing. Moved RAM from slot 1 to slot 2. Still nothing. Removed the heatsink and replaced it with the stock Intel one.
Still nothing. Starting to worry now, but outwardly maintaining a cool demeanour. Don't want to worry the wife!
Moved the RAM to slot 3 and woohoo! It lives!
It seems that if you have 1 stick of RAM the PC will only start up if it's in slot 3.
OK, seriously, is it me or is that slightly messed up?

I don't suppose there was anything in the Mobo manual that said anything

That used to be a thing when dual memory channels were still relatively new on motherboards, but we're talking the Pentium 4/Athlon 64 era.

And yes, it was mentioned in the motherboard manuals.

I haven't heard of it happening since the Core2 chips launched around 2006/7.

I've seen that one quite a few new PC's
Socket 1366 needed even numbers done first (unless you had only 1 stick)
2011 needed Slot 3 then 2+4 done.

It's wrong logically but the boards aren't wired to the CPU in the same order as they're on the board

Went to the cinema for the first time in ages, probably over a year. Prices have risen by over 50% since the last time I went!

The price for popcorn and Co. have also risen dramatically.
