If people would just read posts carefully rather than kicking up a fuss ;) still it will pass time for you to end monday :P

lol @ everyone

Which is why I posted a brief summary of the main point.

The question is why do you insist on trying to wind people up? It's not big, it's certainly not clever and it would be very easy to just add you to the foe list, but personally speaking, I would rather just have the bratty who we all know is there somewhere, who can actually make some very good points and be a nice guy without intentionally pissing people off all of the time.

You wouldn't go into a pub and behave like that, (I hope, or you'd probably get the crap kicked out of you) so why do it here?

If you're thinking of saying it entertains you then I would suggest going to another forum, (maybe one that's full of pricks) to do that and save this place for your "decent" posts...

That's my opinion anyway.

you will find people piss themselves off probably with being brainwashed with political correctness and all that,

choosing the star of david avatar does not mean I am trying to annoy people, its just a symbol, get over it, will I choose a masonic symbol instead? or will all the x404 masons come crying?

and how can just "text" annoy people, if people are annoyed by certain posts then why do they react to it over and over, its like theyre obsessive?

correct if wrong

Are you gonna post a list of what's allowed and what IS NOT then?

Or do you just arbitrarily decide?
You really need a list of what should and should not be used/posted here? You seemingly have a bee in your bonnet about people picking on bratty, I hope you don't think this is part of that, because it's not.
Aside from the forum owner, I'd say we are all subject to the same rules on content for these fora.
To answer your question, no, I'm not going to post a list of what is or is not allowed.
We have a community responsibility here, and if the community speaks out against content posted then action will be taken - that doesn't mean an outright ban or content removal, y'know the mods and admins here actually talk about things before taking serious action.
This is not persecution that's happening here.

Mark

I'm annoyed because whatever people think of Bratty, he's right in his assertion that several people here have just jumped on the bandwagon this morning and filled this forum with tension and aggression. Ostensibly over something that is either:
a) a trivial misunderstanding
b) a deliberate move to provoke reaction by a forumite who is known for such things

I don't appreciate tension and aggression and I whilst I have had to learn to expect it here at times, I still hope for a more measured response and better thought out posts from the countless intelligent, older, more experienced members here.

I asked my question because you suggested that certain things were unacceptable as avatars, yet failed to mention the criteria by which admins/mods would judge this. Following my question, you have now responded and appear to be saying that community disapproval is the guiding principle. That I can understand and perhaps something could/should be added to the forum rules about such a principle.

Either way, I still feel the way the "community" reacted this morning has been poor. And whilst the two issues are inextricably linked, I understand that they are still two distinct issues.

In what is probably a vain attempt to break this cycle I'd suggest we give the Frenchun an opportunity to explain the reasons behind her objection, (which I found on page 1 of this thread - it seems so very long ago!) and hopefully give us the opportunity to discuss those objections in a polit manner, instead of the... how the hell can I discuss the last few pages? ;)

Just as I feel the "community" has over reacted this morning and I've said so, you need to be aware that making statements like this does not help your case. YOU may believe that everybody on this forum has been brainwashed by masons/lizards/the media/whatever, but that does not mean it is FACT. Try to be a little more pragmatic and respectful. For me, people have to earn respect. Some people here have mine, some don't. But I still try to be as thoughtful and measured as I can when dealing with serious topics such as this. I would appreciate it if you would join me in that, but I appreciate that it is your right not to and I don't intend to be offended or get angry with you, irrespective of what you post here.

Just felt it was important to say.

I'm glad someone else is able to see that.

We are just talking about the unfortunate choice of avatar this morning for a brief period, right?

No. There's that, then there's the random [LIFTED] thread as well.

The two issues to which I refer, are:
1) People's reaction to Bratty this morning (in general).
2) What is and is not allowed as an avatar.

Maybe I'm lost in all the confusion. I get that the swastika was a mistake (and fixed) but this suggests there's a problem with the star of david. Is there?

Still? (8+/
Do you really need a list of what would be considered offensive material for a public forum that aims for a family friendly readership?
Really?
