The records will say Barcelona did. Nobody other than Chelsea fans will remember or care how it happened. Should have been a pen the other way the first leg. If Barcelona had gone into the game 1-0 up Chelsea would have to have played differently than they did and who knows how the game would have turned out. The ref was shocking no doubt about that but the idea that everything else in the game would have turned out the same as it did if the pens had been given doesn't hold up. The thing is he is one of the best refs in the opinion of UEFA. They don't just pick names at random. They rate the refs over a season and the ones who do well get the big games at the end. Course, the ratings always said Graham Poll was the best ref in Britain... As for the rest of it, Drogba's a grown man and responsible for his own actions. The idea that it was somehow the ref's fault that Drogba couldn't control himself is total rubbish. Not that that's going to matter, what with Chelsea being run on a shoestring and everything. I suspect Drogba & Ballack may get suspended bans or something. Personally, I think in all likelihood neither of them will be playing for Chelsea next season so it'll be someone else's problem. Jon

Very interesting game last night, I only saw the second half, but from what I gathered Chelsea could've had penalties and more goals. But ultimately this is the game we all support, this is football, decisions get made, and chances get missed, and if you don't take those chances then you always risk being punished. Admittedly it appeared Chelsea should've had a least one penalty, but decisions are made, and games are won and lost on them, and this is what makes this game so full of passion. These are the things that will be discussed for years to come, and live on in history, and that's what makes football. What isn't acceptable however, is storming onto the pitch to publically abuse and criticise the referee for any mistakes he may or may not have made, no amount of shouting or swearing is going to change the result, it's only going to give the sport and/or your team a bad name. I hope Chelsea and especially Drogba are punished for their actions last night, and I'd be saying exactly the same thing if it had been one of our players. Finally, bring on May 27th!

Ab-so-fuking-lutly. Did you even watch the same game as I was? The Ref was pure dirt. He OBVIOUSLY Didn't want Chelsea to win. So don't go on about chances missed. It was the Ref that took them away. I'm sorry but, it was Drogba's last chance to every play in a final, and that ref took it away from him, when EVERYONE could see that there was a penalty or two there for Chelsea to take. I'd probably react the same way. You would too, probably. Like hell you would! If your team lost because of a dirty ref, you'd be reacting the same as I am now! Would you not?! Yes, you would because you know that you were cheated out a chance in the final. End of.

I'm a Chelsea fan, from South Wales. Was brought up with Chelsea, dad is like, a huge fan, buys every single season ticket, along with aways! And my brothers too. I havn't got the time for it, personally. But I do watch the games, and I have Chelsea TV too, to after a game like that, I switch over, and have a rant at the TV from what callers are saying.

Hm... is this a 'loser has to do something embarrassing' kind of bet or do you prefer a simple money one? Jon

And they had no other chances to score other than the potential penalties? No, I wouldn't. I've played football, and something I learnt for an early stage was that no amount of shouting and screaming will get a decision reversed. Sure, I'll shout at the telly during a game, that's part of being a fan, but I wouldn't react like that on the pitch. As for his last chance to play in a final, whether you like it or not, this could be Fletchers only chance to play in a CL final. I completely agree that I'd be angry about the result, I'd probably be moaning about the ref, but I'd be moaning equally that we should've scored more goals regardless. (Just as I was saying after the first leg at OT that we'd only have ourselves to blame, for only scoring the one in the first leg) What I wouldn't be doing, is saying that it's right for our players to be marching onto the pitch to get involved in a confrontation, no matter how angry they are, professional players should act professionally. I'm not going to get into an argument about it, because I can understand your frustration at losing the way you did, but as I stated in my last post, and as I will continue to state, this is a game, that's the way it goes. EDIT: Oh, and FWIW I think it's wrong that referees from countries with a poor quality of football are being used, I think both last nights ref, and the one in the game at the Emirates, left a lot to be desired.

Okay, so lets say that they didn't. If they were actually given their deserved penalties it could have well been the diffrence in the scoring! Both you and I have seen that penalties can make a significant difference! So don't gi giving all the "They needed them, they wouldn't have had to if they were good" palava! Alright, fair enough, they did react a little over the top, but I'd still have a go at him. Someone told me he was an ex-Arsenal employee, so that goes to show. Does being professional mean you have to be walked all over like a 'Welcome Home' mat at the front of your door? Oh my actual God. Seriously.

Yes boss. Proof or it's not true. No, of course not, but it does mean that your reaction should be professional, even if you want to blow your top, it should be behind closed doors, and you certainly shouldn't be making gestures towards the TV cameras. Do you think that was acceptable? I'm not sure what you meant by this? But I did imagine you saying it in a Catherine Tate type voice, and laughed out loud.

No it wasn't acceptable, but he had to get anger out somehow, maybe it was his way for saying he's well pi5sed off!
And I meant that you really have to start opening your eyes. Just because the refs were hard on the players. Don't make them fair refs! So I really think you should re-think your decision there matey!

I was saying that they weren't fair refs. And that they weren't good enough, so ner! As for getting his anger out. Oh my actual god. Seriously. He should learn to control it, like the rest of us have to!

To be fair, don't you periodically get into a ring with a random stranger and do your best to kick seven shades of [LIFTED] out of him?
