Had a quick look at it and thought the art was pretty poor so I won't bother. I only caught up with the Watchmen movie a few days ago as I'm also a big fan of the Graphic Novel and didn't want to see it messed up and many of the reviews were quite negative. On the whole though I liked it, though I see what some reviewers meant when they said that the film sticks too closely to the book to avoid upsetting the fanboys. The biggest problem (for me) was that the guy playing Adrian Veidt was terribly miscast. Didn't need the splattery violence either.

Mark Millar can be a bit divisive as writers go it seems, but I liked Wanted, so...

From the Daily Mail, probably contains spoilers (I had to read around it) - Don't be fooled by the hype: This crime against cinema is twisted, cynical, and revels in the abuse of childhoodhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/re ... dhood.htmlIt'd be laughable only too many old farts believe that crap And who's to blame for the rating it got, eh?

He just feel in to his own cliché! I haven't yet seen the film, so I can't really comment on how the character of Hit Girl either treats or is treated, but I'm sure that as soon as I have seen the film I'll revisit this thread. Mark

Not to mention effectively shouting 'Down with this sort of thing!' is a guaranteed way of getting people to go and see it...

Given the Daily Mail penchant for labelling anyone that even looks at a child a pedophile, it's not surprising that a review like this comes from that rag (I use that term loosely, because even rags have their uses). It appears to me though that the reviewer did nothing but look at and analyse the Hit Girl character in the film, so maybe he has some sort of repressed feelings he should deal with.

So who do you see yourself as? Father Ted or Dougal?

The very latest South Park "Medicinal Fried Chicken" has loads of jokes about the Pope, like:- Does the Pope help paedophiles get away with their crimes? Is the pope Catholic and making the world safe for paedophiles? Does a bear crap in the woods? And does the Pope crap on the broken lives and dreams of 200 deaf boys?
