I don't think it matters really.
Politicians say one thing to get your vote and then change that once they get in to power, so everything they stood for and that you voted for doesn't mean a thing to them really.
That's not cynicism, it's fact.

Do you take part in the political life of your community? Maybe you should if you think you could improve the current situation :)

I'm clearly not making myself understood. (8+(
I don't think I could help improve anything. People get elected on one manifesto and change it once they get in to office.
Besides, I can't vote for any of the main parties that are standing in England. It's just a mickey mouse system over here, not much different to that of the mainland U.K. really.

I see you have very little faith in politicians then, there are good ones you know! and if one lies, the next round you don't vote for him, easy. Sadly most people don't get that and forget the lies for the shininess around election time :(

Empirical observed data.

So you've systemically and repeatedly measured the lie/truth ratio of every one of the 646 MPs?

You'll notice how, apart from this post, I'm keeping out of this debate?

You don't think it's newsworthy either then?

I certainly don't

Not quite following you, sorry.

There will be an election this spring. It has to take place before early June. I don't know why the media is getting all excited trying to guess when it'll be, because Gordon Brown will tell us when he's good and ready. I suspect he'll try and cling on to power as long as he dare before the Labour party is given the boot.

As to why Channel 4 has decided to keep the schedules clear, well, it eludes me. Then again, C4's schedulers seem to play fast and lose with their programming anyway, so who would notice.
