What is Sanctuary? Another American TV Series?
Yep. It has Amanda Tapping in the lead role

It uses a lot of CGI and fake English accents.

Watched the webisodes and it was alright, but I really don't need to be picking up "alright" shows right now. I'm trying to get a life.

Meaning that people that do watch alright shows need to get a life?
(I've seen all the first season of Sanctuary.)

I presume it meant....

Meaning that watching the good stuff takes up most of your life. The alright stuff has no business taking up the little thats left.

Thats the way I feel anyway.

Indeed.

Mark, you and I have both admitted to having a "problem" in the old place. I know you understand ;)

I'm really trying to just watch stuff that is downright brilliant now, as just regular good doesn't cut it.

Talking of which, just finished ep 2 of Dollhouse season 2 and I'm still very impressed, but is anyone else feeling the momentum from the end of season 1 is missing a little? Hoping it'll pick back up towards Christmas.

The only problem I have is there not being enough hours in the day to watch all the stuff I'd like to. (8+p
Sometimes watching something a little less than great can be a good thing. It helps reinforce the feeling that what I am watching I'm watching for a reason. It's also good to just let something wash over you every now and again without having to think about other stuff that's happened or is likely to be set-up.
Mindless TV FTW (sometimes)!

Arse! I’ve just seen a fairly long SciFi ident, and it appears to contain clips from various shows - including Dollhoue. Was that a spoiler I saw?

You can't spoil Dollhouse as nothing really crucial happens in it, it's just a series of interesting scenarios, I've finished watching the first season and it suffers from circular, we don't rally want to do anything expensive, storylines. Good, fun, but ultimately piecemeal and uninspiring.

It's set in the future and shot on a shoestring budget.

It is. It's also the episode that swung it for the studio execs to re-commission the show.
