I presume you can register when you are 16/17 like blood donation?
I think schools/colleges should spend a week or a few days really educating it and providing pupils with the chance to ask questions and sign up, that way a lot of young people would know about it and actually be given the chance to stay sitting on their arse, the papers and a pen will come to them...But it shouldn't be pushed onto people.

Perhaps a "donation week" should be held, with employers joining in too...The emphasis shouldn't be "look at what you must do", it should be "look at what you could do".

Does anyone know where the religious nuts stand on certain things like accepting organs from people who eat pork or non-Halal meat?

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

'Major health problems? We've got an organ for that'

Shouldn't it be "Major health problems? We've got an app for that" ;)

No, see a bunch of companies have ripped it off recently - 'Hungry? We've got a Sub for that', and so on :)
