I don't believe in all that astrology crap. Mind you, that's typical of a Leo!

I must confess that when he made that statement in the program I did indeed LOL rather loudly. Astrologers may deride people who call their hobby a load of rubbish but they aren't usually that interested in anyone doing a proper study (rather like a lot of alternative 'medicine').

I am surprised that they did not sue for libel.

They may have been mindful of the recent ruling by the High Court in the case between a Dr. Singh and the British Chiropractic Association. It appears that the courts are starting to wake up to the fact that UK Libel laws are being used to gag legitimate comment and criticism of corporations and organisations across a broad spectrum of subjects and that this is not a appropriate use of these laws. About time it happened too.

I was aware of that case. Even so I am surprised that they did not try it.

Maybe they decided a full and frank discussion over the merits of astrology in a court of law didn't really appeal to them. Plus, you know, Prof. Cox has access to the LHC so there is no telling what sort of cosmic damage he could do if he really put his mind to it

It is like that Fortune Teller meeting cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

There was actually a story on the BBC web site this week about an in-house astrologer at one the local radio stations getting sacked, and the quote from her was "It came right out of the blue, I'm utterly shocked"

And if their in-store prices are the same as online, the DVDs are £13 at Argos and Asda
