I really don't know - probably a combination of skill, luck and being ultra competitive .

Hopefully this score won't be beaten so I can spend my time more wisely now

Day 1 - Just do normal jump should get $17
Day 2 - Buy 1 accelerator and get the distance challenge - should get $52
Day 3 - Buy the Hang glider - get Height + Time challenge - this unlocks 10' ramp - approx $100.
Day 4 - Buy 2x Acceleration 1x Ramp height and 1x Drag - get speed challenge on 5' ramp.
Day 5 - Buy 3x Height 1x Drag - get Height + Time on 10' ramp.
Day 6 - Buy Rocket + 2 Fuel - Do Height + Time on 20' ramp.
Day 7 - Buy 2nd Glider - do speed + distance on 10' ramp.

Ok, that's all you get because,

a) That's half-way there and I don't won't you to beat my score , and
b) I can't remember what I did after day 7.

Oh, and you can do the last 6000ft challenge without 1x Ramp Height and 3x Drag (maybe even with less but i'm not sure - it's all in the technique you see )

The way I did it I alway went for the last glider before getting the second rocket.

You can do a lot more with the best glider and 1st rocket than you can with the 2nd rocket and 2nd glider.
