If I get a cold breeze across my feet, I need to get up and go for a pee in the night!

I think it has something to do with being pulse points. In your wrists and feet/ankles there's lots of veins at the very surface of the skin, and keeping these areas cooled should reduce your body temperature to something more comfortable for you if you're uncomfortably warm.

Mark

So essentially your feet are like an elephants ears - large cooling surfaces (depending on the size of your feet I suppose).

Also why sitting with your feet in cold water cools you down more efficiently I suppose.

I work in the catering and hospitality trade so if I ever get hot at work sitting in the fridge for a few minutes usually works a treat! :D

I've just come back from my third consecutive sunset at the beach. If you're struggling with the heat, go outside and appreciate the sun. At least then you can say you getting the benefits as well as the draw backs.

Oh, and sleeping naked is a must! (All year round)

I was literally sweating today. Thankfully I'm now back on the coast so tonight is nice and cool - 15C outside. :D

At least you're human.
I run a little hot usually, so breaking sweat is always around the corner for me no matter what the weather is like.
