As far as I know the only major brand who doesn't produce for others is Colgate. ;)

Generally shop 50/50 between Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s – they are rounghly the same distance to drive to and just depends on which way we feel like turning at the end of the road!

For good meat though I go to my local butchers and stock up

For treats we have a Waitrose (and it’s the closest)

Spend about £80 / week on food although every now and then we can live off the freezer for a week or so and then spend nothing

The first person to mention real butchers. My Dad has a brilliant one up near him in Norfolk. We try and stock up when up there. The meat is amazing :)

I have a mate in the butchers here in Bath. I meant to go on Saturday but didn't make it before he started packing up. I'll get there soon, though! He seems to like me for sending a few other students there, and for buying his rabbits. I don't know why more people don't eat rabbit, when they're only £3-4 each. Om nom nom nom nom.

Get some beef brisket if you do go and see him. Slow cooked over a few hours its one of the tastiest roasts and dead cheap too ;)

I suspect it's because they don't come all prepared in a plastic container looking nothing like they were never an animal. That and the fact you can't get them in the supermarket.

He had some lamb neck that he'd already packed up on Saturday, but that I may go and get after work today. Slow cooker running whilst I'm in work so I have a tasty meal to return home to = Yay!

My wife is insisting we use Asda instead of Morrison to save money. Personally I prefer Morrison.

Oooo I've heard that's very tasty. Let me know how it goes. I think I may have to resurrect the food thread!
