Also depends on the lie and whether you're likely to get tripped up or not

I don't think people would lie if they actually knew beforehand they were going to get caught out. Mark

Perhaps I shouldn't mention that I have the series boxset. Rips in the space-time continuum may occur in rustybucket's vicinity.

Tell that to Peter Crouch, John Terry and David Beckham.... the list goes on lol Lots of people lie knowing they will be caught out, it goes with the territory of being a man

Fair enough. I've had strong feelings (or at least I thought I did) each time. I was only in love twice. But I do feel it's important to point out that it's a personal thing. My last gf had slept with 37 guys including me (and has almost certainly added a few since). She was still a lovely girl and ultimately looking to get married and share something special. She just went about that search in more of an active way than other people! My number is comparatively low by the standards of my peers and I'm fine with that. I don't however, have a Crackberry, Droid or iPhone. Anything that can send a dirty text or facilitate phone sex works just as well in my view

Actually women are pretty much as likely to cheat as men. Statistically (according to a survey done in 2003), 5% of married men admit to having an affair whereas 4.55% of married women do - probably with each other, although what the spare one in 200 men is up to is anyone's guess .
