I wasn't given that option, at the time. What is really laughable is that I tried to sell them by post, I got a letter back, saying that I can't sell by post, then I got online credentials set up, sold the shares, then they send me post, saying that I need to fill in a form and return the certificate... If I had to fill in the form and return the certificate by post anyway, why couldn't they have accepted the postal instruction?!?!

Why, when doing localised ads, do national companies hire the one person who sounds like NOBODY ELSE in that area? The Ulster accent is shocking as it is without an Ulsterman doing a ridiculously stylised version of it (think how fcuking silly that Geordie Big Brother narrator got).

What is fcuking wrong with the kids round here? All they do is scream at each other day and night!

It's not even like they're fighting or something, it's just how they bloody communicate. WTF?!

Would this have been a contributing factor in the bumholes statement in the FPOTD thread by any chance?

Due to some faulty wiring in the main fusebox, which caused several power outages over the last two days, and which the electrician has told us could have burnt the house down, I am now in the process of backing up data to an emergency USB drive before I can start repairing the PC.

I will be sending a bill to the housing association, as I reported this repeatedly, and was told it MUST be one of our appliances causing it. It wasn't until I saw flashing sparks coming out of the fusebox that they agreed to send someone out. The electrician opened the fusebox up and two of the RCB were burnt. Not happy.

The power outages also managed to bork the media PC, but I managed to fix that without incurring any cost, so that was OK.

The student loans company. I've been trying to get a refund of my overpayment since March. Paid off the outstanding amount in November. There was a deduction for December because work hadn't received the stop notice. They did after that so further deductions. Waited until March to get my P60 because I didn't have payslips for April and May 2015. Rang them up. They wanted some more info which I spoke to them about. They said they would BACS transfer the overpayment. Then about a month ago, I ended up writing to them. No response. Was going to ring up today but sidetracked with work. Came home to a letter stating I'm due for a refund.

No [LIFTED] Sherlock.

Gonna ring them tomorrow.

At least you didn't get a letter demanding more payments.

I hate banks! Paid a cheque in on Monday, they said 3 days to clear, so arranged to pay an invoice today... Got a letter from the bank this morning, saying that they hadn't paid in the cheque, because it was for a large amount and that it is a foreign cheque, so I have to go back in and arrange for it to go through a special process...

I hate kids! The bank manager said he left a message on the answering machine, but somebody deleted the message and didn't bother telling me, that I needed to talk to the bank!

The 3 days is for UK cheques

If its a large amount on an overseas back then they wills end it for "Collection" - this can take quite a few weeks

So rang them today. In a circuitous route, I eventually got out of them that they had processed the refund and that it would be in my account today. Hung the phone up and checked my account. Lo and behold is the overpayment I made. Eight months after I'd paid off the outstanding balance.

Bad enough having nothing to do, it's even worse when the big boss is running around.

It is the same the other way round, this is a UK cheque being cashed in Germany.
