Struggling to find proofs of address for 2012 when I lived in an HMO and did not pay bills myself. Also 5 years ago I did not think I'd need phone bills and NHS letters. Bastard Brexit

Hard to believe that when you pay nearly £900 for a 4K 3D TV that you don't even get ONE PAIR of 3D glasses. LG are mean sods.

I have to say I'd rather have the full value of what I was spending on the TV rather some being siphoned off for a couple of peripherals I would rarely if ever use.
Like Jon I was under the distinct impression that 3D, at least on TV, was pretty much being shunted in favour of 4K and HDR.

I have a 3D TV and have seen The Martian and The Walk on it recently. It's really rather good.

Windows 7 and its updates. Every Thursday morning for the past few weeks, my work computer gets stuck in an update loop meaning I can never log in unless I use safe mode and try and get Windows to undo the latest updates. I should be seeing patients this morning but still not running. I go into a free room and use that computer only to find it needs to install bloody updates as well.

Brand new 8 installation the other day for someone, I immediately switched off the router and killed all updates in the options. I haven't needed them in decades and I've never had any bother that way either.

I was away on holiday when I gather there were computer issues involving a power cut and updates. Up until that point it has been fine. But I think there is an update causing problems. This morning I've had to reinstall the clinical software in the hopesof making things work. Will see how it progresses.

Can't you turn off automatic updates?

I did that after yesterday's escapades. I need to look closely at the updates (never enough time) because this is a work machine with clinical data so our responsibility to make sure all computers are up to date with latest updates.

What is it with USB cables suddenly deciding they won't charge a particular device any more, yet will work fine with everything else?

You'd assume it's the device, right? Except a totally identical cable from the same batch still works...

The sooner we stop cnuting about and make everything truly wireless the better.
