Black Friday is one of those Americanisms that rightly should never have been brought over to the UK.
I think about 4-5 years ago, when Amazon introduced it, it wasn't well known about. Consequently, you could get actual bargains (and I did). Now I've been checking certain things that I might ordinarily buy and find they are more expensive during the Black Friday sale than they were a few months ago.
