Yeah I'm a bit wary of DC trailers now, given how BvS turned out.
There are also some 30 second short intros for some of the characters.

They absolutely need this. I checked the date of the article for April 1st because I wasn't sure what date it was today! Let's hope he actually gets to make it!

I don't get the excitement over trailers. IMO they just spoil the film as usually they show all the best bits.

Yeah but they also make you want to SEE the movie. I'll watch a trailer and either get excited or think it looks crap. As they always come out like 5-6 months before the actual movie, i think there is enough time between to make it fresh.

Nope doesn't have any affect on me. I read up on them and I either want to see them or I don't. And sometimes I may even watch a film without knowing anything about it

I only watch around 30 seconds to get a feel for a movie, though that's not a guarantee (that recent Will Smith movie was marketed as a weepie when it was anything but). They absolutely murder comedies. I only watch full trailers in the cinema now where it's hard to avoid them.

He’ll Be Back: Arnold Schwarzenegger Says The ‘Terminator’ Franchise Hasn’t Been Terminated http://sciencefiction.com/2017/04/04/he ... erminated/The insistence on keeping the T-800 in the franchise is actually what's killing it. It warps even a half-decent plot into total BS. I'd be very interested to see if Cameron gets any flak for likely putting his name to a series entry and doing little else. This is the man who praised Genysis! I mean have you seen how many people are supposedly producers on movies now? No wonder Stan Lee hasn't been well ... Paramount Executive Blames Whitewashing Controversy For ‘Ghost In The Shell’ Flop http://sciencefiction.com/2017/04/06/pa ... hell-flop/It looked like a total fcuking mess whether you knew about the original or not. And only the hardcore really wanted to see ScarJo in yet another weird sci-fi movie.

Purely to keep the rights alive once they're bought after much wrangling (happened a few times with Terminator). Cameron is getting them back, but he won't have any real interest since he's disappeared up his own hole with Avatar. The series is fcuked until they reboot it totally - they need to drop Arnie, the Connors... it's played out and they need to be bold with it. They'd have been in with a shot if they'd stopped hiring hacks after T3. And it was crap.

Guillermo del Toro Shares Why He Isn’t Helming ‘Pacific Rim: Uprising’ http://sciencefiction.com/2017/04/06/gu ... -uprising/On paper it looks mental that you'd give up a massive movie opportunity like Justice League Dark for ropey Pacific Rim. But... GDT ALWAYS takes on too many projects and then bets on the wrong one come crunch time. Maybe he had the wit to walk away from WB when it came to Dark. That company does not have a fcuking clue what it's doing, and it's possible he smelt something awful in the kitchen. ... Joe Manganiello Almost Played Superman In Man Of Steel — LRM Online http://lrmonline.com/news/joe-manganiel ... n-of-steelAlmost anyone would have been better than Cavill. Taking one of the most invulnerable, incredible, immigrant-American characters going and making him that bland is an ongoing crime. ... The Predator: Why Arnold Schwarzenegger Turned Down A Role In Shane Black’s Reboot — LRM Online http://lrmonline.com/news/the-predator- ... cks-rebootI'm a massive Predator fan because it takes me back to my very early childhood and it's just an awesome film, but so far there's little to have confidence in here. The premise sounds very offbeat for anyone's notions of a Predator movie... then again, maybe that's what's needed. It's the human characters who need to be awesome. ... Arnold Schwarzenegger Discusses Long Gestating Twins Sequel — LRM Online http://lrmonline.com/news/arnold-schwar ... ins-sequelI have to agree with a lot of that. Nostalgia isn't enough if you're trying to second-guess modern audiences at the same time.

I'd rather see del Toro do Pacific Rim 2 or 3 rather than yet another superhero movie we don't need. He's done two of them that are among the best of that genre (Hellboy 1 and 2) and I think his visionary talent would be wasted doing more. I'd like him to do more supernatural stuff like the brilliant Devil's Backbone.
