Morning all,

Yesterday was crap. Had work to do but was held back by the depot and a company shooting a maintenance video. Finally got onto a unit and the procedure I had bricked one of the computers. New computer in and I find something has gone wrong: when I tried to isolate our system, it didn't isolate. I them missed my train and had to stay in work for two hours...
Got home, had dinner, was then told a friend was coming round. It was good to see said friend, but he got here at 8 (I got home at 7:45), he didn't leave until 12...

So, today I feel shattered and I know I have a train to fix...

-.-

In work at the moment but soon to be off for a days sailing around the solent on a yacht. This is a a goodbye "do" for our team as ot ceases to exist after 4pm friday.
I should get in tomorrow to find they have sorted out my new role and have something to sign thus saving me from redundancy :D
so hopefully it will be win win win over the next few days :D :D

Put our application in for the house yesterday afternoon, it's reserved and we just have to wait a bit more (another week to 10 days) for the application to be processed before we can start planning/packing/organising. With 7 fish tanks to move complete with over 300 fish between them it's going to be an interesting moving experience!!

ION It's nose-bleed Wednesday today, I've already had two, the second was a real doozy and just wouldn't stop, I've managed to get blood on my shirt and I've had to wash my hanky twice!! I'm afraid to sniff, or even move my nose which is awful because my nose ring is itchy today :(

Have a great hump day everyone xx

Greetings.

Managed to sell my old DSLR to a friend. I'm pleased to see it go to a good home, and I think my friend has made a good deal.

Still job-hunting. I don't really want a job. I really want to follow my dream. Only my dream is more of a nightmare, and I'm getting to a point where I've forgotten what the real dream was.

Anyway, onwards and sideways.

Morning all,

Fixed that problem from yesterday, a wire was trapped and was stoping a relay from connecting...

Today I have organised to have a go on the simulator at work :D I'm going from Shrewsbury, through Harlech, to Machynlleth in 10 minutes apparently :D

great day sailing yesterday and a nice meal in the evening, then on getting to work finding a message saying that my new role has been approved and they are getting the paperwork sorted. So no redundancy for me, well for at least the next six months. :D

Greetings.

Spent much of yesterday hunting high and low for a pair of software CDs for my old camera. This is frustrating on several levels:

1. I don't throw this stuff away, as evidenced by the ancient software CDs I've checked through that go back at least 15 years.
2. I have the box and all the packing materials, so why not the CDs?
3. You can't download the software from the interwebz without first having installed it from the CD.

I've almost run out of places to look now. A couple more remote possibilities, and then I'm relying on potential duplicates from someone who has the same camera.

So, a nicely sunny but ultimately frustrating day ahead.
