That's the one, Bay can do one as far as I'm concerned - anyone who can somehow spend hundreds of millions making action-packed Transformers movies boring shouldn't be allowed anywhere near other 80's properties.

http://www.totalfilm.com/news/michael-b ... ck-to-2014Oh ffs... ... http://www.totalfilm.com/news/aaron-joh ... kick-ass-2Hype was the only thing sustaining the original IMO, and it 'flopped' in studio terms apparently. If they copy it almost panel for panel again, this probably won't be much better.

Time to Judge the Judge http://www.aintitcool.com/node/56528MC1 seems too spaced out - in the comics it’s a mass of tower blocks. That said, it looks like it will boil down to a good old fashioned Block War.

Well, they both consider themselves responsible for the death of family members... , no, Bats will wipe the floor with Spidey this summer. Even where the mainstream mags can't bring themselves to bite the hand that feeds them come the final score, they've almost uniformly said the tone's a mess, and that some of the CGI's woeful. I can't imagine that Nolan will mess up that bad somehow, and gut instinct says they've gone too dark with Spidey this time. But there's no accounting for taste

I wasn't talking about the films specifically, and yes, I'm sure the Dark Knight Gets Old will do better box office than Spiderman.
I was really thinking about in terms of a fight. A student today was asking people that same question, and I was forced (well no, not really) to explain the flaws in his logic, that Batman would some how overcome Spiderman by uh, driving his car at him or something. I dunno. I wasn't really listening. It's just obvious innit? Spidey every time.

Yeah, I'd probably say Spidey too. Though Bats only needs one good strike

Easily Bats. Given that Batman has beaten Superman and Superman would easily beat Spiderman, Batman should be able to easily destroy Spiderman. Bats is is far more intelligent. Even if he didn't beat him in the first encounter, he'd have studied and analysed Spidey and his webslingers so he could crush him in the subsequent encounter. I reckon the Spidey sense could easily be overwhelmed by lots of flying bats, like in Year One or Batman Begins. And failing that, Bats could use his anti-spider spray.

Oh, so the reasoned discussion is on here Prof?! REALLY?!
I'm saying Bats has the edge. What was the kid's argument today?
