Why is my car covered in a layer of dust? It was clean a couple of days ago.

Ditto. Apparently a big lump of dust from more southerly places got carried in a high pressure zone and dumped on the UK.

I can report that my car windscreen was full of sand after a drive from Warrington to Manchester, washed it off today.

Holiday on the horizon. I've had no more than three days off in a row since November 2012. I suppose it will be a bit of a busman's holiday, but still a holiday nonetheless.

Why have my power line adaptors decided they can't see each other?

I've had that, incredibly frustrating.

Should I go and see Noah or not?

The cheap screening is at 4pm which is a weird time for anyone really, I'm an atheist, and the film apparently has a bit of an environmental message... On the other hand, it's only £3 in

I would have thought any Aranofsky film (he's an atheist btw) was at least worth chucking £3 at to see at the cinema.

I was thinking that, but since I've only ever seen five minutes of any of them... It doesn't help that I'm incredibly wary of any director the movie press licks the arse of

I probably will go and see it, but it's a pros and cons thing if that makes sense.

Yeah I'm immediately suspicious of anyone who's got a good reputation for their film. Much better seeking out those with a bad press I reckon. ;)

You know what I mean, David Lynch takes a dump and they buzz round it, or Paul Thomas Anderson or Wes Anderson... Those people aren't incapable of making good films, it's just they often don't!

You'll never catch me gardening or worrying about the effect of a car's exhaust, but I'd have to agree with Alan there. And that's a shocking thing

Illness set to force AC/DC to retire

Quote:
Australian rock band AC/DC is set to announce their retirement, media reports say.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Melbourne radio station 3AW on Monday that the band many never perform or record again.

Perth radio 6PR says the split is the result of illness, amid speculation that Malcolm Young is unwell.

More here.

This would be a shame because their last album - Black Ice - was their best effort in years. Mind you, Angus is nearly 60 now....

+1 on Black Ice. If anyone deserves to retire it's them.
