You're just disappointed because you thought you'd get a good time from all the companies you thought would have to go down on you.

It's equal oportunities.
If everyone has to fill in the same form in the same format then people without fancy CV's have the same chance as people who could be bothered to spend an hours making their CV look nice.

Sarcasm from moi?

I agree. That's so 1970's! And it's usually public companies like councils or companies that are still in the ark when it comes to technology.

I had to fax all my credit cards recently due to postal strikes. Do you know how hard it is to get fax numbers for these companies? One card gave me 2 different numbers both of which were disconnected *sigh*

I've always had to fill in an application form (even if online) as well as sending my CV to places. I think most companies insist on applicants filling in an application form at some point in the proceedings.

congrats

I thought I would try and put my mind at ease to see what my operation tomorrow will involve, looks like pain, discomfort and anaesthetic are common :( Seen a few techniques that look less painful such as using fibrin glue.... but I doubt the NHS will do that!

I'm kind of hoping that if my knee's going to go in the next 10 years it goes in the next 4 months.

Dude, don't say that.
Knowing our luck it'll be just at the time we're next set to meet-up.

It's been playing up a lot again of late, and now is a conventent 8 month window to have it fixed. I don't want it to further mess about with my graduating or right at the start of my time as a graduate. I guess on the other hand if it's got to be properly replaced then I should take the 10 years, or part there of, as replacements last 15 and you can only have 2 (so 35 years including a bit of improvement in knee-tech).

Ooooh, fair point. It's been 18 months already. And nearly a year since I saw Nick. Crikey.

Get a job with good private medical and when it needs doing get it sorted, the technology will have moved on hugely by then as well.

First task is get a job. And whilst I'm a student I'm covered by Dad's company's cover. It's just the fact it will take several months of uselessness, no doubt.
