That makes me feel better, more towards the Geek rather than the Nerd end of the spectrum.

I just read the word 'lifter' as 'filter'. Damn you, damaged brain.

I tried that game. On one level, two letters were out but in opposite directions and by the same amount. Gave me a score of 100%!

I was sad enough today to find a QR code whilst watching an episode of The Big Bang Theory. Decided to pause it, zoom in and scan using the QR reader. Didn't work so obtained the hidef version (mkv file), faffed around in vlc and managed to zoom in and scan the code. Took me to a website. Took only 20 mins of my time!

Freeze, zoom, enhance! I thought they did that only on TV.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

I sometimes wonder if May got a little too close to the space dust in his studies...

I've just stumbled across a website that helps you memorise what you're learning by putting it into tables, making flash cards etc.
Spent a few minutes entering some information and I'm now learning developmental milestones (at what age a kid will walk etc) far quicker than my old school methods. Wish I'd come across it before as it would have made learning a lot easier.

I think I alluded to one of my earlier posts that I'm under investigations for something potentially serious. As part of this, I'm having my blood pressure monitored as the first time it was sky high, and on the second visit, it was normal. So I have a machine that's hung around my neck/arm and then the blood pressure cuff is wrapped around my left arm. It's going to take measurements every 30 mins during the day and every 60 mins during the night (not precisely sure but this is how ambulatory blood pressure monitoring should be done). Will have to hand it in tomorrow.
It's also a new recommendation for monitoring blood pressure before starting treatment, so if your doctor thinks you have high blood pressure, you may well have one of these attached to you.
