Mission Impossible - couldn't remember a thing about it... Turns out I'd forgotten how cheesy it was

Still watchable, but... I've just remembered Jon Voight's career never really recovered

Yes a truly awful film. Panned by Barry Norman.

Anyone seen Piranha?

I've only watched about 10 minutes of it. That was enough.

I was joking. I think you'll find the recent one is an adolescent boys movie

You're not kidding. Although it's directed by my favourite horror merchant Alexandre Aja, there is a very heavy emphasis on T&A in the first part of the movie. I was watching it with my other half and she was distinctly unimpressed so we only got to see a small 10 minute section of Piranha too. I'll watch it on my own later! The latter part of the movie is very gruesome apparently. The sequel, Piranha 3DD, seems to be just smut.

The original is not bad for its time. I quite like it.

Yes, that's when my other half rolled her eyes. She said something along the lines of "Is this why you wanted to see this movie?' And that was that.

Haha I can just picture that lol  I just caught a bit when I was channel flicking late one night. I saw it was on and I thought 'OK let's see how bad this really is'. Didn't take me long to form an opinion :)

The real trick is to avoid engaging the brain. Once that happens you start noticing so many holes in the plot, bad dialogue etc. That it ruins the mind numbing experience.

That is probably as good as a solution as possible if you cannot get out of going in the first place.

Watched Batman in the cinema again this afternoon after seeing it the week after opening.

I think I'm the only person here who LOVES it.

Powerful, epic, emotional film making. What a great film.
