The latest camera updates (from in app) work fine.

That's what I did to fix the issue. I bought the USA version for £2.99 as I am going there in September. Bargain price.

Heh, just noticed this on the MacUser website...
Apple advertises for antenna engineers

Suddenly 3 vacancies have appeared since the iPhone 4 was launched! Guess what happened to the last ones?!

I am sure that some one else will reduce their prices after the 3 deal is announced. That is the benefit of competition.

I do not necessarily agree that facetalk will fail in the UK. At the moment it is a numbers problem. Until there are a lot of iPhone 4 phones out there then it will be a marginal use. Once critical mass is achieved it could change.

To start with, it will very much be a family and friends thing. There must be plenty of two iPhone families around.

iWonder if there will be stats published regarding the number of calls? I rather expect there will...

Yes there are a few people on here who I would call. But as you say there will be many two iPhone families and this will be useful for them, though the wifi restriction could be an issue at times. Though it could be very useful with businesses. Estate agents doing virtual tours of premises for potential clients, with the client being able to guide the estate agent to where they want to see. Just one example.

Substitute "Estate Agent" for "Escort Agency" ;)

Well I mentioned before that in Japan that the escorts have used such methods for years to decide which clients to meet. It could be very handy for families and friends, though I wonder how long before it is used for cyber bullying?

Well the latest episode of the latest series of Futurama makes fun of the eyePhone, and a few other things.

You don't have to take the facetime call if you don't want to and you can drop it any time you like. Quite hard to bully someone under those conditions.

Yes but that has not stopped texts and email being used to bully people.
