For a four day week, this one hasn't half been hard work. I suspect starting it knackered from a manic weekend didn't help. Fridays are normally pretty quiet here, desperately hoping that this one follows suit. The one downer to working in a call centre is there's no "getting off early" to be had.
I'm still umming and aahhing over hi fi. Really not convinced the Wench will let me do precisely what I want in terms of rooms, which is going to mean annoying compromises. At least the final decision can be a fair way down the line.

Serious headache this morning just when I've got a deadline to meet.
Oh well, the weather looks good which may bode well for the weekend.

Morning, nice weather & a bit of a hangover. Sounds like a great combination for a day of drinking.

Good, productive and tasty day so far... We were up quite early, I went into town in search of a haircut (couldn't find one) while my Mister went to his work and re-wired the building ready for the new person starting Monday. When I got back from town I took Horace down to Reds work and used their hose and trailer-washing equipment to give him a good clean, before coming back up to the house and getting on with the cleaning and tidying. When Red was finished at work we went into town and went to Jesters sandwich shop for egg, bacon and sausage sangers, a sausage roll and an ice cream from the ice cream barge on the river. It was very nice, the weather was good but town was packed with tourists which isn't always fun. Still, we had a pleasant lunch, then came home and started playing with fishtanks. We've got a new tank inherited from one of my friends and have decided to set it up as a replacement "interest" tank with the froggies, shrimps and bristlenoses in. It's been a bit of a slog getting it set up, but it's acclimatising at the moment before we transfer the livestock. I think it'll look really good once everyone's in and settled!! Nothing much planned for this evening, a movie and some shisha perhaps?? Mostly just relaxing and looking forward to another day of the same. I shall post up some of the pics I've taken recently in the random photo thread later.

Evening all, I don't actually remember how long it has been since I posted here, but I'm back to say hello. I've had, (and am still recovering from) a chest infection and up until yesterday evening wasn't especially lucid, but I do seem to be clawing my way back now. On the bright side, I had a cigar on Tuesday. Well, one puff, and I threw it down the drain came in and threw up, and even thinking about smoking is making me feel nauseous. Ok, there's the update see you all later and... Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone.

I think I've found an audio setup that ticks all the boxes, and not for crazy levels of cash either. Now to start saving like fury for it.

Greetings.
I know it's Sunday, but I think I'll try and get some work done today - while the world is quieter than a weekday.
We attended an 18th birthday party yesterday evening. Our neighbour's granddaughter, who was born horribly premature and has had all kinds of problems through her early years has now become a sassy young woman. Sadly, the disco was way too loud, and while most of us oldsters grinned and bore it, it was a real dampener on conversation. Most of us made do with sign language and lip reading!
I genuinely feared for my hearing - ironic, since the young lady in question has a measure of deafness - but thankfully we emerged without any ringing in our ears. By all accounts, everybody enjoyed themselves immensely.
It looks like the sun is trying its best to break through the layer of leaden cloud above the Medway Towns. Enjoy your Sunday, folks!
*wave*
