I suspect my next trip to Doncaster will be 5th November. It has been a while but that's the way I like to keep it Although given the amount of Northerners on here (as well as the few Doncastians...Donny....Doncas... CHAVS) maybe a meet ought to be arranged up that way

Going up to visit the relatives, do the rounds, catch up with a few mates, go for a few beers with my old man and little bruv etc...
I don't think I could bear to watch Rovers at the moment - after a few decent results with the new manager (Dean Saunders no less), it 's back to business as usual this season; and they're making a beeline for the bottom of the table again.
To be fair, I was in Doncaster when I saw what I consider to be the archetypal chav - dressed in a light blue shellsuit with Burberry baseball cap, trouser bottoms tucked into white sports socks; wandering around town in that typical loping gait, fag in one hand and a can of special brew in the other; with the girlfriend and pushchair in tow.
Something attracts his interest and he suddenly sprints across the road, giving the w@nker gesture to the driver who blasted his horn at him, and leaving girlfriend to negotiate the traffic with the pushchair while attaches himself to a jeweller's window; like one of those Garfield window-sucker toys. As the girlfriend caught up with him, he headed inside; only to reappear moments later to hand her the fag and can, for safe-keeping. About a minute or so later, he leaves the shop and immediately bollocks the girlfriend for finishing his fag.

A guy on one of the VAG forums has gone to stage 4 on his car. It's gone from 270bhp to 586bhp. Not only is that a double in horsies, based on power/weight ratio, it makes it faster than: - mclaren slr - lambo LP640 - Ferrari 430 Scud - Lambo gallardo - corvette z06 - ford gt - lambo murcielago -porsche 911 gt2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iO9A1D_niQI want! I want! I want!

Plus rubber habit as well - I can't imagine a set of tyres that would fit on a golf would last all that long with near 600BHP across them.

I know. Realistically I doubt I'd ever afford it but it'd be so cool to sit in a car at the lights and take on a Ferrari 430 or a 911 GT2 and show them who's boss! I guess I'll stick with my poxy 280bhp.

So how the hell would you go about answering the insurance question. Are there any modifications ?

Easy. Use a mod-friendly insurer.
Am currently with Sky Insurance. They'll cover things like engine remaps, intake, turbo upgrades, engine swaps and custom paint jobs, as well as the usual body kits and alloys etc.
One chap had 440bhp in his Golf GTI Edition 30 through the use of nitrous.
