People who drive in the middle lane of the motorway even if the motorway is empty.

People who force me to disengage my cruise control on the motorway. How about plan better, you [LIFTED]?!

What's silly is that they seem to be completely oblivious. Most of them move back to the left hand lane after I've undertaken them. A select few remain in the middle lane!

Same here. Another favourite is the old overtake me at 80, then drop back to 70, then wonder why I keep catching them up at 74 indicated on cruise! They don't like to be overtaken, but their fuel bills must be ludicrous!

I have overtaken somebody purely because there's no point (or space) trying to slip in behind them, and then get into the left lane and chill. In a turbocharged car, it's very difficult not to hit the throttle every now and then. That's why instead of getting over 40mpg, I tend to get around the mid-30s. Unless I'm flooring it everywhere in which case it drops to the low 20s.

Annoying as all hell isn't it? I miss cruise control. It's like caps lock for driving.

I really struggle to keep my car under 90, I have to watch the speedo like a hawk, but with 9 points, it's necessary.

Just realised the contradiction in those two posts, maybe I should use my cruise control!

You know, the thing is-is that's really bugging me is-is I'm really noticing people keep doubling up their ises. The thing is-is I notice I'm doing it, too.

Doubling up their iseses? You'd never catch me doing that. On the phone I catch myself going "OK I'll see you then then then".

So, the other one is-is starting sentences with "so".

http://boingboing.net/2010/06/17/origins-of-using-so.htmlI don't mind it - it's improper, but if it's not overly used, and used sparingly for effect, so be it.

In that vein, I've always been irritated by Australian cricketers starting the reply to every question with the word look.
It's led to me and a friend always answering questions with, "oh taste mate", or "oh, feel mate" in dodgy Ozzie accents.
The long winter nights just fly by.

And don't get me started on "going forward".
