Speaking of which, what happened to Blood and Chrome?

From the Wiki - "On July 12, 2012 however, an article written on the San Diego Comic Con Battlestar Panel stated that Richard Hatch and Jane Espensen are convinced that "Blood and Chrome is still on the table as a series for SyFy, and that Bryan Singer’s BSG movie is on track"."

So, it's stuck in distribution limbo from the sounds of it.

Didn't know about the lack of John Williams. That IS sad. But you could be right about that dude. He has got a sort of Tom Welling thing.

As for the costume, I loved the new batsuit because it was rooted in reality and practicality and, in theory, anyone with enough money could build one. I think that was the key to the franchise as a whole as well, so it fit.

That said, not being as nerdy as the rest of you, I'm not in a position to know what every outfit has looked like over the last 100 years of either of the big two. I know what I recognize and I know what I think looks good. That's it.

On the point about the 60s, just like at the X-Men First Class outfits. They only got away with that coz of the period feel of the film IMO.

So am I. I may even be persuaded to go and see it at a proper cinema.

I think it inevitable that superhero costumes undergo change just as normal fashion does. If you are going to reboot a franchise then you might as well do everything. And if you want the costume to be the same as the comic book, then read the comic book.

If you look at modern fabric and printing technology it is clearly much more advanced than that of the 60s. If this technology was available in that era, the illustrators/designers would not have been constrained to using monotone inks and fabrics.

Even in the 60s the industry was incredibly ramshackle. 'Amazing Adult Fantasy' must have put off a few parents, but after a name change and one last throw of the dice, a certain wall-crawler appeared, decades after DC unleashed a couple of big hitters.

I''ll be diving a new site in a week, a freshwater lake in the caldera of an extinct volcano. At 760m elevation and surrounded by rainforest it should be a good experience.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Two days off in a row. To give me a chance to heal some wounds before they turn into tropical ulcers. :(

I'm now getting concerns about the volcano trip with regards to diver experience, legality and liability of the whole trip. Eagerly awaiting response from the management. :?

If it was me I'd bomb down to max. depth of 60 metres and cruise back to the surface, no worries. But as I'll be guiding novice divers in what could be a challenging dive that requires permits to dive commericially, I'm getting second thoughts.
