You reckon Helmut Marko put in some overtime last night? Tinfoil hats aside for a moment, don't they use the same rig to fuel both cars now?

"Computer issue" with the fuel rig, according to Horner. My @rse it was!
That was Mark's punishment right there for making golden boy look like a spoilt little brat (which he is). Obviously, an order from on high to underfill Mark's car.

Wouldn't he know how much fuel was in? Also the rules state that what ever fuel you have left at the end of practice is what you start with. So he really should be starting from the garage with an empty tank and waiting until they start before they can fill it.

Wow..... Great Chinese GP and no spoilers from me but geeeeeeez, what a nail biter at the end ! Those last 4 laps were fantastic racing.
A thoroughly deserved 1, 2 and 3 in my opinion. For those of you who didn't get up to see it live at 8.00 don't miss the rerun !

I normally don't bother getting up for the early GPs nowadays, but 7am wasn't that much of a hardship on a Sunday. Very enjoyable GP.

Hmm, I dunno about these new tyres. There was plenty of action but the race was dictated by the tyre choices and strategy. I know Pirrelli were briefed to produce tyres that didn't last long but the Soft option is designed to last about 5 to 6 laps - that's just laughable, they may as well be made of jelly!!
For me, with the tyres, DRS and KERS it's creating fake racing - plenty of action but it's not real racing. There was no chance to defend from DRS today. And with 2 drivers choosing not to set a time in qually 3, so they can choose their tyres in the race, well, something's wrong with the system this year.
What a shame about Webber, another weekend from hell. Didn't know Helmet Marko was part of the pit crew now! First the fuel shortage in qually and then the wheel falling off, they couldn't make it more obvious that they're deliberately saboutaging his race weekend - shame the wheel didn't put a stop to golden boy's race, now that would have been funny!

You're kidding yourself there, Rich. Team orders have ALWAYS existed, and will always exist; whether the FIA allow them or not. I don't really mind that though, transparency (to some degree at least) is better IMO. I do think they need a rule to ban twattish backstabbing team mates though!

Not a patch on the 2011 race. McLaren had an abysmal race, it's a bit of a sickener when both cars finish just outside the points. Di Resta had a decent finish though - something to smile about. It is a pity Das Finga won again - although I doubt he'll repeat that performance at Silverstone. He could be finishing behind the Ferraris and Mercs.

Webber is leaving F1 to drive Porsche World Endurance Champ cars. What a shock

Yeah, saw that news this morning - no great surprises there. I thought he might go to another team for 2014 and then retire from F1, but his thinking is that the cars for next year are so different that it might take a season or two to get on top of them. Will miss Webber, in any other top team, I reckon he could have had a shot at the title, but F1 is all about Ifs and Buts. I admire his honesty though, typical for an Aussie he tells it like it is, which is pretty refreshing in this PR and corporate F1 world. In other news: For the first time since 2006, I'm not going to Silverstone at the weekend - really gonna miss it, but after last year's fiasco with getting in and out of the circuit and the poor organisation, my mate and I decided to give it a miss this year. In a way it's good I did because I'm out of work at the moment, so it's a damn good job I didn't blow £500 on a weekend away! Still, it won't be the same having to make do with watching it on the TV. Hope it's a good un.
