I think my company spent over £5 million on BB's and line charges last year in the UK (excluding worldwide data roaming) and they have a smorgasboard of differing BB models. People keep on "dropping" them to try and get a newer handset

I am probably thinking it is high compared to a home users bill. An extra £10 on top would be nasty. Though I would imagine that they probably do a lot more email traffic so calls might actually be a lot less, and so the overall cost per user is actually quite reasonable.

And how much is the data add-on on a contract for an Android or iPhone? How much would a calls only plan cost, for the same number of free minutes, compared to the Android or iPhone plans, which include data? ;)

Edit: T-Mobile (German national carrier), the MaxiFlat M (flat rate in T-Mobile and landline networks), costs 29,95€ a month, the CombiFlat M (the same telephone flatrates, plus unlimited data) costs 49,95€ a month. The iPhone equivalent costs a further 10€ a month... So, a tenner a month for Blackberry Email/data isn't much, compared to the 30€ for the iPhone. ;)

The £10 is just for BES express, it's nearer £25 for full BES.

Well look at it from the other side. There are reasons to have BES for companies.

Just look at all those countries trying to ban BBs as they are unable to spy on users due to the security that BBs offer:

Our company has had to cripple a tonne of our users' BBs working abroard. Bit of a bugger, really.
