Ordered a new sofa. A big oversized thing which is very comfy. I'm pretty sure my feet wont touch the floor if I'm sat back on it though.

I bought a large but still standard size sofa before. It didn't fit through the dog-leg and step in the hallway though. :(
Had to call round a few mates and lift it up onto the roof and then down through the doorway that led to the terrace. Probably quite a common occurence in Amsterdam.

Anyway enjoy.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Where are you getting it from? I had a sofa & armchair made by a local company and the two blokes who came along to deliver it were very competent. When they discovered it wouldn't fit through my front door they just took the arms of the sofa off, got the bits inside and put them back together in my living room. No problem at all. I reckon if I ever move house I'll have to call them up to dismantle it again.

I've heard some stories about DHS & the like but if it's a small firm they're generally willing to go the extra mile in the name of customer service.

It's CSL

253 w 115 d 70 h (although in the shop he measured depth as 130  )

It comes in two halves but I'm worried the depth will be the issue.

In that case they can just rotate it, so the depth becomes 70cm. You can get over/round most obstacles assuming you have enough room to rotate the object in 3D. Like Dirk Gently's sofa, in fact...

Really suffering from my gastro bug today, had it 4 days and still cant make it out of the house (or even to the front door, can make the bedroom, kitchen and toilet and that is it), hopefully seeing my doctor tomorrow about it as it shouldnt last this long and nothing seems to work

Awkward as I was meant to pick up my car today as the brake discs were heavily corroded and the spark plugs needed to be changed

Last time I had atrociously bad guts the Dr. gave me Codeine Phosphate. Worked a treat for the symptoms and the problem eventually disappeared, yet with all the testing they never worked out what it was. :?
