Ross Noble 'Nobleism' - much more like it as a comedy DVD, though probably too long actually at 2 hrs. There's even an entire extras disc.

Tried to find the Billy Connolly DVD today but no joy :( , so hopefully Chris Addison's effort will make it 'two out of three ain't bad'.

A pair oft Doc's shoes, no, not the pair that the new Dr. Who wears, these are the classic shoe variety. Very comfortable.

Chris Addison DVD, excellent. Seriously, call into Poundland and see which comedy DVDs are left, there's bound to be something that'll tickle your funny bone.

Slang (deluxe edition) digital download from iTunes.
2hrs and 45mins of awesome.
There's a lot of really good stuff here. Granted, some of that is demos and 1st draft versions of songs, but it's really good, as a long-time fan of the band, to hear the evolution of songs you have become so familiar with over time.

I was also planning to be posting about something else here today as well, but that'll have to wait a couple of days now.

A stereo photo viewer. Image

As well as a lump of around 46 photos. All branded "Kodak". They must be around 100 years old. The clue is in the name St Petersburg - that Russian City changed it's name to Petrograd in 1914 (and eventually returned to St Petersburg via Leningrad). Their are photos of London, Paris, Brussels. Mostly postcard / tourist type shots, but just looking at them, I reckon I have a nice little find there.

The photos will probably be scanned and tidied up as they are old and in need of some attention. However, all give a good 3D view of the past.

Here's one of Brussels.

Really pleased with this find.

As is Thermal Vision Dutch.

ION, the new tablet I bought is potentially genius but I have too many distractions right this second...

Closer examination makes us think that the photos date from around 1901/1902. This is based on the inaction of Edward VII. There's a photo of Indian Soldiers in Hampton Court gardens, as well as a coronation arch. The Glasgow Exhibition was in 1901.

I can't say how old the prints are, but the photos certainly date from the early years of the 20th Century. This means that the photo of Grand Square, Moscow, shows very pre-revolutionary Russia.

It's a small but exciting find for me.

Oh - it helps to clean the lenses in such things once every century or so, just to keep the images looking fresh. :-)

Yes, my new tablet is the shizzle :D

http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/LENOVO-Y ... 08054.html

My previous tablets had full-size USB ports since I was gonna have to load them full of apps and comics, but since I've gone back to the laptop this one will only be used for the comics in the main. I mostly bought it for the extended battery life. An hour and a half messing around with audio, video, apps, settings etc at full volume and brightness and it only lost 10% of battery power :D

A 'hard shell' case for my new tablet (it's cheap but basically rigid in the main and needed since the tablet has a bit of a wedge shape going on).

A micro to female USB lead for use with memory sticks.

Cheap and functional :D

I rented Thor 2 through Amazon Prime/Lovefilm - quite apart from it being a sh1t film, the 'SD' version appears to have been designed to get you to pay for the 'HD' version.

Blocky even when a piece of text was onscreen, the faster action scenes looked like Lego. That's the first time I've ever had a problem with their service, and perhaps coincidentally, the first time I've ever rented a film from them outside my streaming package. What's especially sneaky in my view is there's no confirmation of it charging you - if you've clicked the wrong option, tough, the film's starting...

I'd have used my PSN credit for it only they don't do streaming, and well, have you ever downloaded a couple of gigs with those prats?

Custom fit condoms :)

These are seriously awesome. Measure yourself up, put the numbers in to the website and they arrive next day :D
If you've had problems with stock sizes being too small (or too big) I'd seriously recommend giving them a try.

Use the code GOOGLE50PC for 50% off your first pack
