Strictly speaking, she's a relative of my fiancée but they're very close.
And I'm 300 miles away from my fiancée and the relative (and rest of her family) is in the very south of the old East Germany
Add in that this is six moths before the wedding as well.....
It's all very :x  :?

That's such a shame, and the feeling of helplessness to be so far away is even more difficult. Don't worry, I'm sure your fiancee knows that you're there for her in spirit if not in person, and it sounds as though your relative (for she is 'your' relative) is well-loved and has plenty of her family around her which is the best way to depart this world IMO.

My offer of driving through the night to Devon to take her to Stansted seemed to go down well

Only dearest Ruggers. May be over Stratford way at some point again soon. It tends to make for a pleasent day out. And I'll probably see R&J at the RSC in the summer.

Give us a nudge if you come our way, it'd be nice to see you both.

HUG and if that doesn't work then....

And if that doesn't work then try JJ and his amazing, gravity-defying sausage rolls:

I IRC'd him, he doesn't appear to be on MSN much these days...
He seems pretty tied up with stuff, but I'll nag him whenever I see him :)
