But still....I've got a date...on Thursday...we're going for lunch then to a movie, (Iknow movie is usually no-go on a first date, btu she requested)

Woo.

To Timarks:

A few pages in this thread ago you asked me where the Adobe Wan Kenobi picture came from.

Why? :)

I know it did, but I was wondering why he asked where it was from. :P

not strictly random sh*t, but i dont think its worth starting a new thread for :?

if you put two sticks of DDR3 into a core i7 board, will it run them in dual channel mode? or will it get confused and start vomiting everywhere? i know there are some with 4 RAM slots, but they seem to run 3 in tri channel, and one on its bill :(

just curious :D

2 sticks means dual channel only but it works fine. Don't trust 4 sticks though as it puts 2 sticks on 1 channel.

Even though I explained to the oh so nice 2nd line engineer from TalkTalk that I am an IT professional and have been for over twenty years, he still tried to treat me like an idiot!

Whilst trying to explain why my Broadband connection is rubbish he blamed my LAN setup, (and also interference from my microwave/telephone/elecric can opener/black holes/etc) and said he would remotely make some changes to improve it... I don't think he appreciated the fact that I was logged onto the router at the time and saw him reduce the speed from four to three Megs.

When I asked him repeatedly if he had reduced the speed, (eventually saying "Look, just yes or no. Did you just reduce my connection speed from 4 to 3 meg") he ummed and arred for a few minutes then admitted that he had.

I want to move to a new ISP...

I've got cramps in my tummy, they started so badly that I caved and took painkillers about 10 minutes afterwards. Now they are hurting so much that I feel sick!
