I don't even think the IMAX in Dublin screens laser projection.

Remembering the Dark, Gritty 'Star Wars' TV Show That Never Happened (Yet) - Hollywood Reporter http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-v ... ars-848205I imagine a lot of it will get rolled into the films, and I'd find it very likely Disney will want a TV show for their version of Netflix. Not to mention the billions in merch money.

Star Wars' Abrams leads move from CGI to reality ![](images/spacer.gif) | ![](images/spacer.gif) | ![](images/spacer.gif) | ![](images/spacer.gif) | Quote: Every so often, Hollywood has a bete noire. Over the years, it's been talkies, piracy, the video cassette industry and right now, in some quarters, it appears to be computer-generated imagery (CGI).
That logic may fly in the face of the box office takings of Avengers: Age of Ultron (£924m) and Jurassic World (more than £1bn). Yet, the case for trying alternatives alongside CGI, has been made by both JJ Abrams, the director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Rian Johnson, director of its sequel.
"Wherever possible, whenever possible, we tried to do things as much in camera as we could," Abrams told AP. | ![](images/spacer.gif) | ![](images/spacer.gif) | ![](images/spacer.gif) | ![](images/spacer.gif) |
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-35069696Good. I watched the Making of JJ’s Star Trek on the Blue Ray, and there’s a lot he did in that film in camera. Old tricks, but they sold the scene. I think we’re at a point where I’m certainly asking myself “how much of that is real” and coming to the conclusion that the answer is “not much”. Abrams even build prop light sabres with LEDs in the sticks, and that gives you reflections in the eyes, coloured light bouncing off the skin. They should look more like they belong because of that - even though, yes, the actual blades will be CGI, you will get the light from the LEDs in the props.

Maybe we could get JJ to fight against the copious use of lens flare too?
Oh, wait...
