No, I am liking the fact the Prof has a job interview. Interviews are more of a necessary evil.

Hold on, you mean The Prof isn't actually a prof? I feel betrayed!

eBay - if it's not the excitable tw@s bidding like rats at a food pellet dispenser 5 hours before an item ends, it's the sellers who are 'UK-based' in China. And scrotes with it :x

Escalated it to a claim after the seller suggested I hold on to the item or try to sell it myself

They of course made this suggestion before saying that I'd have to pay a '15% re-stocking fee' and that they wouldn't cover my return costs. All that on an item they listed with what turned out to be confusing/wrong information? Funnily enough, I wouldn't have ordered the item if I'd thought I'd have to return it, would I?

eBay got back to me with a seller message saying they'd drop the fee nonsense, but I'd be out recorded delivery costs and I effectively had two days to get it back to them - don't think so, I'm not gonna be out a tenner then waiting for them to refund me, all for nothing at the end of the day. And how exactly am I supposed to sort all this out during ordinary office hours?

Oh yes, and eBay didn't provide any obvious means of replying to this demand, they just assumed I'd go along with it. I had to faff about with a load of options for 10 minutes until I found a way to email them (they must have forgotten to remove that particular option)

Other owners admit it though so we all know where we stand.

Is Ern, who's not Ern, really a non-mac owning, mac owner?

The worlds gone mad!
